The Nigerian Content Law state clearly that Employment & Training plans shall be submitted by industry stakeholders.The JQS will assist in growing indigenous expertise to service the industry effectively. Indigenous capacity and capabilities can now be measured & improved over the years for both individuals & service companies.
Joint Qualification System
The Nigerian Content Law requires NCDMB in conjunction with industry stakeholders to establish the official JQS for the Oil & Gas industry in line with provisions set out in the regulations to be made by the Minister. This JQS shall constitute the official industry databank of capabilities.
Training
The NCDMB is already running training plans, NUGGETS, ANCI. These are aimed at capacity development targeted at servicing the varied and complex needs of the industry.
Nigerian Content Monitoring
The Nigerian Content Law has empowered the NCDMB to track the implementation of the law across the industry for all projects and contracts. The JQS is the data convergence platform that assists all industry stakeholders to be compliant. Asides this, the JQS is a cost effective solution to verified data in the industry!
The NOGIC Joint Qualification System is a data collation and convergence system used for information validation and consumption for the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. It accommodates all stakeholders in the industry such as the Operators, Regulators, Service Companies and Institutions, as well as individuals with skills, trainings, certifications and relevant qualifications required in the industry.
The NOGIC JQS is run and operated by Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB. The platform is hosted on Orbita® from Seamfix.
